What are Walkfit Shoe Inserts

Whenever I hear the word “orthotics”, Walkfit shoe inserts immediately come to mind. That’s because Walkfit is the only brand I trust with my feet for pain relief that can also involve my shoulders, back and legs. I didn’t reach this point without trying other brands and possible other solutions first. Some were okay for a while but the inserts didn’t last long while others were downright feet killers, increasing the pain and discomfort instead of eliminating them.

I heard about Walkfit shoe inserts from blogs, my running buddies and even a few co-workers. When conversations led to comparing different kinds of shoe inserts, Walkfit almost always got everyone’s vote. So I decided to try it out myself when I didn’t know what else to do about the pain and discomfort in my legs and feet. Even the podiatrist I consulted gave his consent to my wearing the Walkfit inserts.

As is my habit before making any major purchase, I read about the product as thoroughly as I could. Initially I read about the original Walkfit inserts which I later learned have been upgraded by the makers to the new Walkfit Platinum series. Both have all the functions of Walkfit, which are to restore the natural spine and shoulder alignment, and alleviate low back pain, distribute weight evenly,  and effectively decrease stress on the knee joints by adding balance to the hips.

I also learned that the Walkfit Platinum has the added features of Nano Silver, an antibacterial technology that kills odor-causing bacteria and fungi so I don’t have to constantly wash the inserts and shorten their shelf life. It also has a gel heel pad to cushion my feet against the hard surfaces I walk on. Its elastic and flexible properties let my feet mold themselves naturally to the heel pads.

As the many sites I’ve read and my doctors have pointed out, our feet essentially have the same structure. But we also have distinctive slight differences in shape and dimension so that there is no one-size-fits-all insert. Walkfit shoe inserts respect the differences in each individual’s pair of feet and are custom-made to adapt to them. The longitudinal and metatarsal arches can bend to my feet’s forms, making them comfortable to use and shielding my feet from shock and impact from hard surfaces.

I have also found that Walkfit shoe inserts are ideal for daily use, when activities at work or at home involve walking, running and prolonged standing. They are also great for athletes and for use in exercise routines. People with biomechanical defects and those with conditions like heel inflammations, plantar fasciitis and corns and calluses can all benefit from using the Walkfit shoe inserts.

A common mistake when buying and using these inserts is not reading the instructions properly. Some people expect instant results and others install their Walkfits the wrong way. Then they wonder why the inserts don’t work as they promised. One thing I struggled with is that our feet need to get used to wearing these inserts. I expected them to work instantly but they definitely needed a break in period before I started to feel their positive effects.

Mastering the use of Walkfit shoe inserts isn’t rocket science. I’m no genius but I could easily understand the instructions that came with the package. And I’m pretty sure you can, too.
